KUMBHALGARH FESTIVAL KICKS OFF WITH COLOUR AND GAIETY

Jaipur. The three day Kumbhalgarh festival started off today by paying homage to the erstwhile ruler Maharana Kumbha, a love of arts and music. The day started off with colourful presentation by folk artistes of Rajasthan.

 
Lal Aangi Gair from Barmer, Chakri from Bara, Kacchi Ghodi, Kalbeliya were major attractions for the tourists who also danced with the artistes. 

Another interesting feature was the turban tying competition for the tourists in which both the foreign and Indian tourists participated and enjoyed the competition. Many tourists also got henna applied on their hands. In the evening will be the cultural performances.

 

In the evening the fort will come alive with not only the sound and light Show but also the cultural dance performances. Today there will be Bharatnatyam by Priya Venktaraman; on 29 January Bhojpuri folk songs by Malini Awasthi and on 30 January Rajasthani folk dances and music from 7 pm onwards.
