BRISK CATTLE TRADING IN NAGAUR CATTLE FAIR DOVETAILED WITH FOLK AND CULTURAL MUSIC

Jaipur, 5 February: The well known Annual Nagaur Cattle Fair has begun with a large number of cows, bullocks, oxen, horses and camels accompanied by turbaned sellers and eager buyers indulging in trading. The four-day fair which began from 4 February will be on till 7 February and has been organized by the Department of Tourism, Department of Animal Husbandry and the District Administration Nagaur. This fair attracts participants from Punjab, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.

 

Today the visitors and tourists had a whale of a time witnessing Moustache Competition, Turban Tying and Camel Decoration competitions at the Cattle Exhibition Ground. During the day there were also Best Breed Competition for Horses, Calves and Camels at Cattle Ground.

 

Tomorrow, the day will begin with Puppet Show from 9 am onwards (Rao Amar Singh Rathore Cenotaph). Meanwhile at the Cattle Ground the cattle will start disbursing. The Horse Dance and Camel Dance competitions (Cattle Ex. Ground) will be held at 10.30 am and 11.30 am, respectively. This will be followed by Prize Giving and Closing Ceremony (Cattle Ground).

 

On Friday, 7 February, there will be a puppet show from 9 am onwards (Rao Amar Singh Rathore Cenotaph).
